# loader

## Importance of loader

These days if a website takes more than a few seconds to load, people tend to close the page and move on.

CSS loaders help retain a site’s traffic. It increases the **loading speed** and **entertains users.**

Unlike a gif, a CSS animation avoids the image request. This results in less bandwidth consumption and a faster loading process.

## Automation

Now lets understand how a loader works and how to configure.

Loader can be configured in two ways

1. Configuring at Pre/Post actions
2. Configuring in action class

For any way to make the loader works, We need to create an UI element with the element type as loader.\
Wait value provided in the UI element will act as the maximum time in seconds to wait for the indivisibility of element

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.qatts.com/studio/ui-elements/loader.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
