> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](https://docs.qatts.com/llms.txt). Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.qatts.com/studio/ui-elements/link.md).

# link

Hyperlink is a word/phrase/image that allows the user to navigate from one page of a website to another.

Hyperlinks are often used in the form of anchor text, which is highlighted when clicked and takes you to the linked web page.

The links are usually underlined, but they may also be in different colors, shapes, or other ways that help them stand out from the rest of the text. Hyperlinks may also be accompanied with phrases like "click here" or "read more".

## Automation

In general, Links opens in a new tab / window. For validating this functionality we need to click on the web element first. As, we see QATTS has a rich library to make the click operation work. Refer to link [Properties Library](/studio/ui-elements/properties-library.md)

I have few questions and exceptions. Refer to link [Trouble Shoot](/studio/ui-elements/trouble-shoot.md)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.qatts.com/studio/ui-elements/link.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
