# Role

## What is a Role?

A **Role** specifies what type of access can a user have in QATTS.

## Steps to add Role

To add a Role follow the below steps

STEP 1: Go to **Administration** ---> Click on **User Management** ---> **Roles.** You can see a **Add Roles** as shown below.

**STEP 2:** Click on **Add Role** and Fill out the required information.

In the **Manage Role** you can restrict user access by specifying what applications can be accessed.

**STEP 3:** After filling out the required details, click on **Save** and the Role will be saved.
